Why You Should Meal Prep

Food is everything.

From your favorite dish as a child to that entire pizza you slammed last weekend after that crazy night out with your squad. If there is one thing that I’ve consistently messed up with, it’s food. Most likely you will too in your journey to unbelievable health and greatness. It happens, but one rule always remains. ALWAYS MEAL PREP.

I’ve been training for a long time and can honestly say that if you’re serious about losing weight, gaining muscle, having more energy, seeing definition and “toning” (whatever that means) it WILL take you 5 to 10X longer if you do not meal prep. Here’s why:

Meal Prepping Saves Time and Prevents Binge Eating

Pick your meals and spend ONE HOUR cooking everything at the same time ⏱. Yes, only ONE HOUR of your precious time will be spent preparing every meal for the next 7 days as opposed to 30 minutes to an hour every day during the week making something new. Let’s face it…you know you’re going to end up snacking beforehand because you come home hungry as hell and can’t stop yourself from shoving 4 different types of shredded cheese into your mouth at the same time.

Meal prepping saves calories!

It’s no secret that restaurant food always tastes better, but the difference in calories from a home cooked meal to a take out meal is substantial even if it’s the exact same meal. Think about how long it takes you to burn 800-1000 calories. Depending on your capability’s it could take a few days and after all of that you’re only breaking even. Whatever fitness goal you have, always cook your own meals.
